Personally I actually use google earth for this sort of scouting. It has a bit more detailed maps for Helsinki area, though for most of the Finland they're not detailed enough.

I used to use Google Earth but the maps.live gives more detail when you zoom in around the UK. I guess it depends on what location you are looking at.

Yep, since I live in Finland, I don't think I have any other possibility than Google Earth and it only works for few of the largest cities here.
