this is a rework of my very first upload. As the original capture is with the bird full frame I have added some additional canvas and stretched the background giving the kingfisher some space to fly in.
Canon 20D, Canon Ef 600mm f4 IS USM lens, tripod mounted, 1/1250sec@f6.3 iso 200 raw Comments I think the extra space is a good thing. What else can I say except for.. amazing!
By the way, how much weighs a 600mm lens?  -- my gallery contains some bugs.   fantastic focus and great colours
 love it!  Utterly gorgeous, cant belive this hasn't got more exposure. You must be a wonderfull photographer to be able to take a photo this spot on at the speed he would have been moving his wings.

As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same.
