I enjoy this shot because it shows this fantastic bird in what seems to be it's very focused state. The feathers, not perfect, a bit messy--but maybe that is perfect for this shot. Great work!

Beautiful shot. I like that the feathers are a little rumpled. It makes him look like an active hunter, rather than a taxidermy display. ;)

This is with ambient light Dave. I find that kingfishers react to flash so I don't use it
