 Amazing bird, one of the most colourful in the UK proberly.
-- One thousand Americans stop smoking every day - by dying.  I enjoy this shot because it shows this fantastic bird in what seems to be it's very focused state. The feathers, not perfect, a bit messy--but maybe that is perfect for this shot. Great work!
 Beautiful shot. I like that the feathers are a little rumpled. It makes him look like an active hunter, rather than a taxidermy display.
 Did this shot require fill flash? -- The only thing that's truly impossible is proving that something is impossible. If I say "You're welcome!", now, does that count?  What can I say...
You really are the king of Kingfisher photography..  added ....-- British Wildlife at its best....WILDLIFE UK This is with ambient light Dave. I find that kingfishers react to flash so I don't use it

 reports, 20h 4m agoThis newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and =Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board.
