Artist's Comments

5 second exposure used so I could fire a flash from behind the cigarette to get the smoke trail and then fire the air gun pellet through the cigarette which was captured by a flash gun in the front

(edit) image reprocessed to correct the halos around the text

All together walk alone
Against all we've ever known
All we've ever really wanted
Was a place to call our home
But you take all we are
The innocence of our hearts
Made to kneel before the altar as you tear us apart

so precise! and it makes for a great photo! I love it :D good timing with the pellet going through what looks like where it had burned down to! the only flaw is that the blurry text kinda makes me dizzy

the text was deliberately left out of focus as I shot it at f8 to reduce the DoF. It does play games with my eyes as well :)

Awesome shooting, but honestly the sign makes it a tad bit cheesy

Horribly intrusive watermarks are tacky. If you're concerned about people stealing your photos, don't post them on the internet.

Photography is the simultaneous recognition, in a fraction of a second, of the significance of an event. (HCB)
