We have so many foxes where I used to live.. bold red with white tips.. Deep browns with black highlighting.. I once spent a summer watching a female caring for her pups along a den built near a train track.. They are fascinating animals..
This is a phenomenal shot which reminds me of how much I enjoyed watching them.. Relaxed and alert - with ear cocked. Excellent.
Just been reading Stephen Jay Gould's The Hedgehog, The Fox and the Magister's Pox, which gives a certain resonance to this terrific shot. As a matter of instance, is this a wild fox or a tame one? -- AidanSemmens.co.uk a tame one Wodewose, but I certainly wouldn't want to put my hand near it lol

The colours are of duller shades which really gives this photo a unique effect.
The fox looks so peaceful and relaxed, completely the opposite of its stereotype. It is in perfect focus and composed excellently.
The black tips of the ears against the orange fur stand out very well and you've taken it on eye level which adds a further dramatic effect.
The eyes are pin sharp, being the most important part, and that really makes this a dramatic photo.
Another fabulous photo from you!
